Mairi Chrisholm

Mairi Chisholm (1896–1981) was a Scottish nurse and became the first women to join the war efforts on the Belgian front-line trenches during WW1. Along with her friend Elsie Knocker, she set up a dressing station, which the women had to fund raise for. The two friends won numerous war medals and saved the lives of thousands of soliders.
