If you only know one thing about sexual assault – know this!

At one point or another, most of us will be affected by sexual assault in some way. Some will become momentary “victims” who move into becoming a “survivor” with the grace of time, love, and support. Others will have a friend, family member, or romantic partner who has been victimized – these people are known as “secondary survivors.” Many sexual assault crisis centers across the United States provide free counseling and advocacy services to primary survivors and some also provide services to these secondary survivors who have their own unique issues and needs separate from that of the primary survivor.
While this is all valuable information to support survivors and their loved ones in the weeks and months after an assault, there is one critical step that can save lives if taken within days after an attack – a rape examination.

In a case of “he said/she said” – “he” doesn’t have to say a damn thing to be believed

We hear the same tired excuse with nearly every report of rape, every case of domestic violence, every instance of the cruelty husbands all too often inflict upon their wives.

How many CPS reports does it take to protect a child in danger?
In an ideal world, the answer to that question is never more than one. However, I have recently learned of a case in North Dakota where more than ten reports of child abuse were filed with the Department of Human Services and not a single report led to a proper investigation.

Valley News Live (KVLY) makes weak attempt at a cover up
FARGO – The news broke last night on Just One Take that Valley News Live has spent a minimum of eight years protecting sexual predators and exploiting their victims. VNL reporter Bailey Hurley made her own attempt to exploit me. She exploited another survivor last summer. At this point, I have found no less than four instances of this Fargo news source abusing victims and supporting criminals.
